Getting Started with

Lockb0x

Introduction

Welcome to Lockb0x! This guide will help you set up and start using Lockb0x for encrypting and uploading your files securely to your Avax transactions. Whether you're new to the platform or just need a refresher, this page covers everything you need to know.

Prerequisites

  • Access to the Lockb0x platform.
  • An EVM compatible wallet, like Metamask or Trust Wallet.
  • Avax Cryptocurrency in your wallet

Step-by-Step Guide

AVAX TRANSACTIONS with LBX RECEIPT CREATION

To get started click the AVAX tab from the navigation bar at the top.

Click the link for the AVAX Create option.

  1. Upload Your First File:

Avax Create will always be used to create your receipts that will be attached to your transaction.

Connect your wallet to the Lockb0x platform. You will be prompted to sign a message to connect to the platform.

Once your wallet is connected, choose the file you wish to upload from your device, create a new document, or capture a photo to upload.

We currently support file types: .pdf, .docx, .txt, .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .gif, .mp4, .img, .gltf, .glb, .obj, .fbx and .csv up to 10MB in size.

Fill in the required fields-- Title, Description and Author. Click the Encrypt and Upload button to start the encryption and upload process.

Lockb0x will prompt you to sign a message which will encrypt the file derived from your private key signature before uploading the file to IPFS. Returning a success message with the CID of the file and moving to the transaction page to complete the process.

We do not store or have access to your private key at anytime, so we cannot recover it for you.

    NEXT: SENDING AVAX RECEIPT

Lockb0x will automatically attach your receipt to the transaction in this final process. Do not close the page until the transaction is complete.

Insert the recipient address, and the amount of AVAX to send. Click the Send button to start the transaction process.

You will be prompted to sign two messages, one as a small fee for the uploaded receipt and the other for the transaction itself. Once the transaction is complete, you will see a success message with the transaction hash link.

You can start the process over again by clicking the Create New Receipt button or view your transaction on our Avax Receipt Explorer.

  2. VIEW YOUR RECEIPTS:

Once uploaded, you can populate, decrypt, and view your encrypted files from our Avax Receipt Explorer. Each file will have a unique CID that you can reference externally, which can be found in your transaction history on any Avalanche blockchain explorer.

Connect your wallet to the Lockb0x platform. This will start fetching your transactions with LBX Receipts, which will populate the explorer.

You can also search for your LBX Receipts be entering the public address manually. This method will let you view the LBX Receipts that are associated with the address you entered but will not let you decrypt them without connecting your wallet.

To view and decrypt a file, click the Lock icon to the right of the file, sign the message with your wallet to decrypt the file when prompted.

The file will be decrypted along with private notes and be displayed in its intended format. You can then download the file to your device or view it in your browser.
